About blwuz

Built because family comes first — not the portfolio

blwuz began when our founder looked at how “family office” software was sold — dashboards first, people second — and asked a simpler question: what would a platform look like if the goal was an amazing, loving family that happens to steward wealth, instead of wealth that happens to employ a family?

A founder's note

I have spent years around families with significant means — and watched the same pattern repeat. The spreadsheets were immaculate; the calendar for “family time” was empty. Advisors spoke to one principal while siblings drifted. Small slights compounded because there was no shared place to record what had been decided, or what each person actually needed.

The more I listened, the clearer it became that the most important thing is family — not optimisation, not product selection, not another consolidated net-worth number on a phone lock screen. And unfortunately, there are far more forces that have nothing to do with money or wealth that damage or prevent people from having an amazing and loving family: distance, shame, unmet expectations, the silence after a hard conversation.

blwuz is designed to help families build strong bonds first — connection, shared rhythm, learning together, recording governance honestly — and to make sure money does not add fuel to an already burning family. Wealth modules sit last in the product on purpose: consolidation and fee transparency matter, but only after the people in the room can see each other.

The platform is a neutral tool on your family's own data. It states facts, measures drift against bounds you author, and logs decisions — it never tells you what to buy, sell, or feel. That restraint is not a limitation; it is the only honest way to stay on the family's side of the table.

  • Family is the point

Wealth tools often assume the portfolio is the centre of gravity. In practice, the centre is people — spouses, parents, children, cousins spread across cities — trying to stay connected and aligned.

  • Most damage is not financial

Miscommunication, unspoken expectations, isolation across generations, and unresolved conflict erode families long before a balance sheet does. Money can amplify those fractures when it arrives without shared context.

  • Money should not pour fuel on fire

Fees hidden in statements, opaque governance, and custodians who speak only to one member can turn wealth into a wedge. Transparency on your own data — with lineage shown — is a record families can discuss, not a verdict.
